Mark did his time here in Christchurch working on numerous large townhouse developments and then continuing on with the Canterbury Rebuild undertaking EQC repairs and new home builds. From there he spent time in Toronto, Canada, project managing high-end renovations and playing rugby for a local downtown club. He came home to develop Saunders Building. Mark works tirelessly on perfection and is always behind the scenes to make clients feel at ease with their projects.

This international man of mystery has returned home to where it all started. Stephen has been in the construction industry for over 10 years and did his time here in Christchurch working on new homes and throughout the earthquake rebuild. From there he has travelled around Europe, as well as working on high-end renovations based in London. On the weekends you might catch Stephen running the Harry Ell track or down on The Terrace having a boogie!

Meet Scotty, our go-to leading hand and an invaluable member of the team. With a wealth of knowledge in the building industry, Scotty’s experience spans from running high-end homes to managing multi-unit developments. His expertise, dedication, and problem-solving skills make him a key player in everything we do. When he’s not on the job, you can find Scotty enjoying a round of golf or spending time catching up on the latest game of code. We’re lucky to have someone so passionate and experienced on board. Nathan comes from a hard landscaping/building background, having extensive experience in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. His attention to detail and creative eye ensures a high quality finish in all his work. Nate loves being around people and enjoys bringing a good sense of humour to the team. He has a passion for cinema, keeping fit and his trusty sidekick, Becky the dog.

Sam joined the team in 2020 and is a huge asset to the company! He has a vast range of expertise on the building site with a background of new homes through to high-end hill homes here in Christchurch. He certainly brings the energy to site and doesn't mind hard work! Away from work Sam has a large range of hobbies; hunting, diving, fishing, kayaking but the most impressive is his fighting background. From a young age he has been into fighting, from karate to kickboxing, and most recently becoming New Zealand champion for kickboxing in his weight class!

Meet Scotty who has joined the Saunders Team! But please don’t let the moustache fool you, this lad is serious business! Scotty touched base and wanted to have a crack at the architectural game and he has fit right in. Coming from a commercial background he has brought over new skills and insight to the team. On the weekends you will find Scotty on the hockey field playing in the Christchurch top grades and we have heard he knows how to handle a stick! Cheers Scotty!
